Chronically low ferritin levels for someone who cannot absorb iron through the gut can be a significant contributor. Iron infusions can be very helpful.
This is great insight! Thanks so much for sharing. I see a lot of nutritional deficiencies in my autonomic patient population: iron, B12, B1 sometimes even scurvy!! I think that those are under diagnosed and definitely under treated. Thanks for the reminder!
